Happy to help! Redditch Repair Cafe is back and ready to get to work

Redditch Editorial 29th Oct, 2021   0

DON’T miss Redditch Repair Cafe which is back again this Saturday, October 30.

It means the town’s expert repairers are ready to breath new life into all manner of possessions which may be broken, ripped, torn or have simply stopped working.

And why buy new when you can simply get it repaired?

On Saturday the skilled workers will include an expert on mechanics, a sewing lady, bicycle repairs and someone who’s a dab hand at electrics.

It’s all happening between 10am and 2pm at Community House in Easemore Road close to the town centre.

The repairers give up their time for free and all repairs are carried out for free, although donations are always welcome.

People are asked to drop off their damaged goods between 10am and midday at Community House – ample free parking is available.

The team will then set to work repairing the goods.

When ready they will phone the owner for collection before 2pm the same day.

Organiser Clare Beckhelling said: “Many people said they were glad to find us.

“It’s a great concept and we’d like to thank everyone for their support.

“Just come along and we’ll do our best to repair whatever you have!”
