PUPILS at St George’s C of E First School celebrated their Harvest Festival at St Stephen’s Church recently by making a major donation of good things to eat to Redditch Foodbank.
The service was led by Reverend Paul Irving and the children recited poems and sang songs complete with actions.
Parents and members of the local community joined the pupils in giving thanks for the food we all eat, and marked this with the donation of tins, packets, jars and boxes of food.
Headteacher Marie Bradbury said: “The community of St George’s C of E First School is such a generous one and this is shown in the huge collection organised by our Year 4 pupils.
“Thank you to every single person who has given so kindly.”
