AS THE winter months approach, Redditch Borough Council has issued more information about the help and support available to help residents amidst the cost-of-living crisis.
The authority, continuing the link-up with its partners, has launched its latest cost-of-living leaflet to signpost people to organisations offering specific help and advice on a host of issues.
These include managing money, housing benefits, energy efficiency solutions and this year, there’s a section on coping with Christmas and all the financial challenges it can bring.
Information on free events too, including the lights trail at Arrow Valley Countryside Centre, is also in the leaflet.
Council leader Matt Dormer said: “Following the success of the other two leaflets I am delighted we have launched a third.
“We wanted to make it easier for our residents to access information and support in one place so it’s all on our website and people know the advice is from trusted sources.
“However, we realise not everyone goes online so the leaflet is ideal to ensure we can reach as many people as possible and, of course, we are calling on the community spirit for which Redditch is renowned, to check on neighbours and hand a leaflet to them, friends and family.”
Partners involved in the leaflet include bdht, libraries, Act on Energy, Age UK, BARN, NewStarts and Citizens Advice.
Help offered by the council, including council tax support, also features.
Leaflets are available from the Town Hall and the library.
