REDDITCH’S ‘Apple Day’ at Headless Cross Community Orchard has been postponed.
The event was due to take place today (Saturday, October 4).
A yellow weather warning is in place for Redditch and the rest of Worcestershire. Gusts of up to up to 50mph are forecast.
The event will now take place on October 18.
Since 2009, volunteers have helped conserve the Headless Cross Community Orchard as a leisure place by planting Worcestershire fruit trees.
Two years later ‘Apple Day’ returned to bring the community together.
The orchard also encourages the community to give back by asking that any excess fruit and vegetables be donated to its Harvest Stall.
