HEADLESS Cross Community Orchard will once again be hosting their annual May Fayre – from 11am to 3pm on May 1.
There will be live music throughout the day, including Arrow Valley Brass, Revenge of The Wrinklies, Hornymental and Danny Manic.
This year they will be introducing their first Freestyle Maypole Dancing, which will include audience participation.
Orchard volunteer Neil Marsh said: “I can’t wait to join in, for a good old knees up around the Maypole.”
To add to the family fun, they will be holding their usual array of games including: The Amazing Human
Fruit Machine, Quoits, Splat The Rat, Tug-o-war and sack races.
Orchard volunteer Gabby Hemming said: “We’re set for another exciting May Fayre.
“It’s a family event and so there’s something for everyone, whatever your age.
“We will be running a Cider Bar, serving our own wonderful ciders.
“Don’t forget to bring your metal HXO cups, we have a few left, but stocks are running low.”
There won’t be food at the event but organises are encouraging people to bring along a picnic.
Headless Cross Community Orchard was planted in 2010 by volunteers who continue to maintain the green space.
The orchard is host to Worcestershire varieties of fruit tree, including the Redditch Doddin apple.
