WINYATES Green Community Centre now has a 24-hour accessible defibrillator thanks to charity Charlotte and Craig Saving Hearts Foundation (CCSHF).
Mappleborough Green Pre-School, which regularly uses the centre, raised just under £550 towards the cost of the defibrillator by doing sponsored walks and collecting donations.
Cash was also raised by Winyates Green Residents Association, Allotment Association and the Londis shop on Furze Lane through raffles and collections.
Founders of CCSHF, Rob and Maggie Underwood, said: “We would like to say a big thank you to everyone for their fundraising efforts.
“And thank you to the Borough Council for supporting us with making these life-saving defibrillators available to the whole of our community.
“The council has promised to help with the ongoing upkeep of the defibrillator which will cost approximately £1 per week.”
CCSHF relies solely on donations.
