WORCESTERSHIRE’S Health and Care NHS Trust is offering free courses to help people combat anxiety and low moods, writes Daniel Cooke.
Several locations across Worcestershire, including Redditch, are hosting six sessions which will cover topics such as stress, anxiety, worry, assertiveness, relaxation and an understanding of low mood.
The Redditch course is from 10am to 12pm on Thursday, March 15.
Around one in four people will experience these problems each year and each session is set out to show people techniques to help them understand, manage and combat the issues.
Claire Shale, team leader with Worcestershire Healthy Minds said: “The courses are suitable for people who are motivated and able to make positive changes towards or improving their low mood or anxiety.
“Before you start a course, you will need an initial assessment with one of our therapists to see if this course is right for you. “These usually take around 30 minutes and are completed over the phone”
As well as Redditch, courses will also take place at Bromsgrove, Worcester, Malvern and Kidderminster.
