THE local health and care trust is urging residents with minor injuries to attend Redditch’s local Minor Injuries Unit (MIU), to help relieve pressures on the accident and emergency departments at the Alexandra Hospital and Worcestershire Royal in Worcester.
MIU’s can treat a range of injuries which do not require a trip to A&E, including cuts and minor burns, grazes, sprains, strains and fractures, often much closer to home with reduced waiting times.
