STUDLEY in Bloom is appealing for volunteers to help keep the village looking lovely.
The dedicated team has been hit by a bout of winter illness and with many getting on, new blood is needed to swell the ranks.
“We’re not asking for a huge amount of time, just getting some younger fitter people in who can afford to give us three to four hours a month would be fantastic,” said chairman Gill Liebthal.
Meanwhile the Bloomers are celebrating after their most successful cake and coffee morning ever.
Held just before Christmas with Councillor Brian Dixon donning a beard and red suit, it raised £439.54 which will be spent on keeping the village blooming.
“We’d like to thank Couns Dixon and Jill Beard, Dorene Knoakes, Diane Clark and all the staff at the Co-op for their help,” said Gill.
