Help Studley birthday boy Ralph celebrate turning 100 by sending him a card

Redditch Editorial 8th Jul, 2022   0

STUDLEY’S Haywood Lodge care home is appealing for people to send cards to their birthday boy resident Ralph Heaven who will be turning 100 on Tuesday.

The care home will have a few surprises in store for former tap dancer Ralph to help him celebrate his landmark birthday.

As well as tap dancing, Ralph loves Italy and going on cruises.

To make the birthday extra special, staff will be holding a three-day virtual cruise along the Amalfi Coast, decorating the home and dressing as cruise ship staff.

The kitchen team will be perparing a formal black-tie birthday meal and cake for Ralph and his family and the local Emma Charlotte’s Dance Academy will visit the home to perform some tap dancing.

And children from Mappleborough Green Primary school will be holding a ‘best birthday card’ competition, with Ralph choosing his favourite cards on his big day.

Ilze Careless, Ideal Carehomes’ Regional Director for South Birmingham said: “Ralph is among some of the first residents we’ve welcomed into Haywood House, and we’ve really enjoyed getting to know everything about him.

“We’re so excited to celebrate this milestone birthday with Ralph, and with a bit of help from our friends and the local community, we can make Ralph’s 100th birthday one to remember.”

Anyone wishing to send Ralph a card can post it to:
