ANGLING is one of Britain’s favourite sports and Redditch has a long and distinguished history with the fishing industry.
Now that history can be viewed in context with a stunning exhibition at Forge Mill Needle Museum featuring classic rods, reels, hooks, baits, lures and more.
Some of the most famous fishing tackle factories in the world were based in Redditch and the show looks not just at their output but also that of some of the smaller and more niche ones too.
Included are some from the museum’s rarely seen yet outstanding collection.
The museum is open from 11am to 4pm Ruesday to Friday, and 1pm to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday, closed Mondays.
Admission is £5.80 for adults, £2 for children with a family ticket costing £12.35.
The fishing tackle exhibition runs throughout February until March 3.
