REDDITCH Business Improvement District (BID) has announced the appointment of Michelle Dowse, principal at Heart of Worcestershire College, to its Board of Directors.
As principal she has demonstrated a strong commitment to the education sector and a passion for supporting local businesses and the community.
Redditch BID works collaboratively with local businesses to enhance the town’s economic prospects.
The organisation is dedicated to promoting Redditch as a vibrant destination for commerce, culture, and leisure, with a focus on delivering initiatives and projects that benefit the business community.
Adrian Field, the newly appointed Chair of Redditch BID said: “We are delighted Michelle has agreed to join the Redditch BID board.
“It is important that we have senior figures from a variety of business sectors in the town centre and her appointment fits in with this perfectly. “
As a new board member, she will work alongside other industry leaders, local business owners, and community representatives.
Ms Dowse, said: “The college has helped the people of Redditch learn new skills to kick start their careers for over a century.
“Today it continues to be the largest educational establishment in the area with high numbers of students learning new skills to meet the needs of local and national employers.
“With such a longstanding history in the area, it is only right the college continues to play its part in our community, and I am thrilled to be joining the Redditch BID board to support our town centre.”
