HoW College students swap studies for the stables

Redditch Editorial 2nd Dec, 2019   0

SPECIAL educational needs students from HoW College swapped their studies for the stables as part of their work experience at Attwell Farm Park.

The group of youngsters improved their teamwork, communication and social skills by dealing with customers who visited the farm.

They also collected eggs and maintained the farm’s play equipment.

Work experience supervisor, Annette Gardener, said: “All the skills are transferable so they can go on to use them in whatever career they choose.

“I’m really glad I approached Attwell Farm because they were so supportive and really welcomed this group of work experience.”

HoW College prides itself on providing equal opportunities to all of its students to help reach their maximum potential.
