A TEAM of employees from Hughes Electrical are pedalling from Preston to Lowestoft via Redditch for charity.
And the Alcester Street store will be waving them off on Wednesday, June 8 after the cyclists have spent the night in the town’s Premier Inn.
It’s all in aid of The Benjamin Foundation, a largely aimed at bringing hope, opportunity, stability and independence to children and young people experiencing challenges based largely . to help vulnerable young people.
The Hughes team, will be cycling more than 450 miles from their most northerly branch in Preston, to the firm’s most southerly branch Rayleigh, before finishing where Hughes began more than 100 years ago in their most easterly branch Lowestoft.
The team start on June 6 and will tackle the distance over five days finishing in Lowestoft on June 10.
The store in Redditch is expected to be one of the pit-stops for the cyclists will to take some time to rest up and restock on refreshments and supplies as well as getting a good night’s sleep.
