Hundreds of people flocked to luxury retirement village Great Alne Park on July 21 for the inaugural music festival ‘Parkfest’.

The festival was organised to celebrate the opening of the new £8million clubhouse which, from July, allows residents to enjoy a range of leisure facilities.

Parkfest ran from 2pm to 9pm and was headlined by the 40-piece Amadeus Symphony Orchestra.

Other highlights throughout the day included a performances by ‘4 Poofs and Piano’ and the well-known house-band from the BBC chat show, ‘Friday Night with Jonathan Ross’.

Warwickshire Youth Jazz Orchestra also joined in the celebrations whilst award-winning food and drinks were served to guests all day.

Jamie Bunce, CEO of Inspired Villages Group, says: “Great Alne Park is the perfect setting for an outdoor celebration.

“Parkfest promised a day of music, laughter, glorious food and fun and it definitely succeeded.

“It marked the opening of our impressive clubhouse, which is sure to be a popular facility among our residents, giving them further opportunities to make the most of their retirement.”
