STAFF at Hycontrol in Redditch braved hot and sticky weather to complete their charity bike ride and Malvern Hill walk in memory of their much-missed colleague Chris Reece who died from heart problems in July last year.
“It was a great success, in spite of some pretty oppressive weather,” said spokesman Mark Stevenson, “and so far our campaign has raised nearly £2,000 for the British Heart Foundation.”
The event saw Chris’s colleagues tackle a 35-mile bike ride from Redditch to Malvern, followed by a hike across the Malvern Hills to the Worcestershire Beacon.
Many of Hycontrol’s 50-strong staff took part with their families and the company also sponsored each participant.
