Ice cool look is a cut above the rest

A REDDITCH hair salon has pulled off a remarkable third place at the National Hairdressers Federation Britain’s Best competition on Sunday – at the first time of asking.

Make-up supremo Lee Kesterton’s Ice Queen creation won the accolade in the ‘Total Fantasy Look’ category and the director of Imogen’s Hair and Beauty Ltd revealed it was the Primrose Hospice shop on Evesham Road that came to their rescue at the 11th hour.

“We did a rehearsal the day before on Saturday but to me the dress just didn’t look right,” said Lee.

“So I went off running around trying to get another and the manager at the Primrose Hospice shop, bless her, she was really busy but she found us the right dress with the right look.”

It was very much a team effort by the staff from the Birchfield Road salon which saw Paris Lloyd, Amy Clayton, Kristy Palfreyman and Victoria Bradbury all competing before Amy joined Lee to create the Ice Queen look in just three hours, which Paris modelled.

Imogen’s Hair and Beauty Ltd offers the complete range of styling and barbering including bridal as well as make-up and nails for everything from standard up to masquerade ball.

The competition was held at the British Heritage Museum, Gaydon.
