In memory of Tez: Floral tributes appear near to Alvechurch Highway

FLORAL tributes have appeared near to the Alvechurch Highway where a 27-year-old man died after crashing his car into a lamppost.

The man, named locally as Tez Beckford, was a car enthusiast and a popular member in the car community.

He was found in critical condition when paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after 10.20pm on Thursday, March 4.

He was cut free from the car but, sadly, pronounced dead at the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance spokeswoman said: “Crews worked with fire service colleagues to rapidly extricate the man from the vehicle before the team of medics commenced advanced life support.

“Sadly, despite the best efforts of everyone, nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead a short time later at the scene.”

Three ambulances, a paramedic officer, a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic were in attendance.

Police are appealing for witnesses of the incident.
