COMPLAINTS about Warwickshire Police have risen by 60 per cent. since 2015.
Security experts, Locksmithservice.co.uk uncovered the data from the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) on the number of police complaints in England and Wales for 2016-17.
Police forces recorded a total of 34,103 complaint cases in 2016-17, with Warwickshire seeing a 60 per cent increase from 2015- 16 to 2016-17, from 259 to 415 – the highest rise in the country.
West Mercia Police also saw an increase in complaints, from 509 to 733, and increase of 44 per cent.
In contrast, complaints fell by 31 per cent in Nottinghamshire, the lowest decline recorded, followed by drops in Cleveland (down 25 per cent) and the West Midlands (-24 per cent)
The complaints, made by members of the public, related to the conduct of people serving with the police, or to how the force is run.
