INKBERROW Football Club has installed its own rebooted box, a campaign to rescue 1million pairs of quality, pre-loved football boots from landfill and get them back where they belong – on the pitch.
The Football Rebooted campaign was co-created by former England goalkeeper David James and Utilita energy.
The scheme aims to not only recycle shoes but repurposed them for those who need them.
The Football Rebooted bin is located in the club house at Inkberrrow FC, Sands Road. Once donated, the team will then clean the boots up, refurbish them and clearly label the sizes.
A spokesperson for the club said: “This isn’t about people who can’t afford boots, it’s about community, sustainability and passing things forward instead of throwing them away.”
The club is also gearing up for its 2026 tournament. The day is expected to draw teams from across Worcestershire and the wider area and focuses on fun and learning.
Girls Ambassador and Ladies First Team player Grace said: “The last 12 months of football has been unbelievable.
“Tournaments are vital for junior football. They bring our community together.
“Some of my best football memories as a junior player were tournaments.
The tournament will take place on June 6 and 7.
