FANS of the hit radio soap, The Archers might assume that it is a more dangerous place to live than Inkberrow, the place upon which it is based.
However, new research by ADT security has found that life in Ambridge is precisely two times less risky when it comes to fires and break-ins than life in Inkberrow, its real-life counterpart.
The soap has just 0.9 fires or break-ins per 100 people, while Inkberrow has 1.8 such incidents.
The Archers has an average of around 4.8 million listeners each week and has been running for more than 60 years.
