MEMBERS of 2nd Studley Guides had an action packed week as part of an international camp.

Organised by Girlguiding Warwickshire, the 14 girls and their leaders enjoyed camping at Blackwell Adventure with girls from Alcester and Stratford.

Of the 1,000 girls attending the camp were representatives from Australia, Denmark, Ghana, Japan, Malta, Mexico and New Zealand as well as other parts of the UK.

Highlights of the week included a treasure hunt around Birmingham and a tour and workshop at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre.

There was also a whole camp day trip to the West Midlands Safari Park and another half day spent trying out water sports.

Arts and crafts were also enjoyed as well as challenges and circus skills.

And the group continued guiding traditions by cooking on wood, the only group to do so on the entire camp.
