THERE are still spaces left for drumming enthusiasts to sign up to the Palace Theatre’s Drum Camp.

The camp, organised by the popular Palace Drum Clinic, will run from February 21-23 at Tudor Grange Academy.

Open to anyone over the age of 14, it provides musicians with an opportunity to hone their skills alongside the UK’s top drummers and tutors.

Matt Green, founder of the Palace Drum Clinic, said: “Our lucky campers will have the opportunity to work with some of the most talented and well-renowned performers and tutors in the industry.

“No matter your age or ability, if drumming is something you’re passionate about, make sure to sign up for this once-in-a-lifetime chance to develop your skills.”

Participants will take part in a number of small, intimate classes and also one-on-one sessions with tutors.

Topics covered will include ‘creativity and freedom on the drum kit’, ‘interpretation of the charts’, ‘brush techniques’, ‘tuning’ and much more.

It costs £350 to attend the camp for the full weekend or £295 to attend for just the Saturday and Sunday.

A minimum £50 non-refundable deposit will be needed by February 1 to secure your place.
