FLIPPIN’ great fun is promised tomorrow, Shrove Tuesday, when Alcester’s traditional pancake races return after a pandemic-induced break of two years.
Back then the market town’s pancake race was the last event before Covid-19 closed everything down but now it’s back with the same fun and excitement it always has.
With pub relays, works relays, schoolchildren and even the local vicars getting in on the act, it promises to be a raucous afternoon of fun.
Not only that, but the weather promises to be fair too.
It all kicks off 11.45am with the hotly contested pubs relay race.
