THE Redditch branch of the British Heart Foundation shop has seen people flock to its door since it re-opened last week.
The shop, on Market Place opposite St Stephen’s Church, had been closed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, but with suitable social distancing and cleaning regimes in place is now back in business.
Manager Christine Dean, who got involved with the charity after a family member developed heart problems, said: “It’s really good to be back, and we’ve welcomed both new new and old customers alike.
“We’ve got a great range of mens and womens clothes and a nice selection of bric-a-brac too.”
The coronavirus crisis has had a devastating impact on the income of all charities and the BHF believes the shortfall will result in a
£50million cut to its research budget this year.
Some 660,000 people are living with heart and circulatory diseases in the West Midlands, and donations to the BHF can go towards helping them.
