A REDDITCH woman who features in the new Marks & Spencer Christmas advert says “I can’t wait to show this to my grandchildren.”
‘Jenny’ is one of the stars in the advert who help promote M&S food and its festive treats.
The campaign sees M&S Food brought to life in a new and original way – through customer and colleagues’ own words.
The company travelled the UK to find real people to talk about their favouirite M&S Christmas food and why they thought it was so special.
Jenny, who picks the Shimmering Chocolate Pinecones as her go-to choice, said: “It’s brilliant because I never expected to be on TV!”
The campaign comprises of twelve different adverts in a mix of 30 and 60 second edits, ensuring viewers are regularly introduced to new M&S food favorites.
In total, the advert features more than 60 customers and colleagues of M&S.
The high-street giant is also using social media and radio to promote their goods in hope of reaching ‘more customers than ever before’.
Sharry Cramond, food marketing director at M&S, said: “Our customers love our food, especially at Christmas.
“We thought it would be a good idea to let our customers tell us exactly how they feel in their own words.
“It’s worked really well.”
The campaign encourages the nation to join the conversation and share their Christmas food favourites using the hashtag #MyMarksFave.
Marks and Spencer in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre shut for good as part of a closure programme which affected 13 M&S stores back in April.
All of the staff there at the time transferred to neighbouring stores.
