THE number of jobless in Redditch stands at 910 for June according to the latest figures from the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP).
This represents a decrease of 35 on last month but an increase of 20 over the same period last year.
A spokesman for DWP said: “Looking at Worcestershire as a whole, where there has been a reduction of 11.5 per cent, the figures are very much heading in the right direction. We are getting more and more people in employment, particularly in the private sector.”
