Jobs hope as growing firm moves out of Solihull for Redditch

A DOMESTIC repairs and cleaning company plans to create up to ten jobs after expanding into premises in Redditch.

It follows a deal arranged by local property agent John Truslove which has helped UK Clean & Repair Ltd to move into 26 Colemeadow Road, on North Moons Moat industrial estate.

The company was launched a year ago by director Alan Phillips and specialises in servicing, cleaning and repairing ovens, fridges, washing machines and other white goods.

A growing demand for its services has resulted in it relocating from Solihull to larger premises in Redditch.

“We started with one man and a van and the business has grown exponentially since,” said Alan.

“Coronavirus really hit us hard just as the business was in full swing but thanks to government support and the support from Ben Truslove, we were able to overcome this and continue our expansion.

“We started with oven cleaning but what was a lively demand quickly saw us increasing our service offering both commercial and domestic professional cleaning and repairing of all white goods, from electric ovens to microwaves, and from dishwashers to washing machines and tumble dryers.

“Now that we’ve moved in, the ongoing growth of the company will ultimately lead to ten new jobs for our staff working in and around the area.”

The starter unit at 26 Colemeadow Road has been let to UK Clean & Repair for five years at a rent of £5,000 per year.
