Just the ticket: Diamond Buses giving away free tickets to Redditch panto

Redditch Editorial 1st Dec, 2018   0

DIAMOND Buses have driven to the rescue to offer the chance to win prized tickets to this year’s Palace Theatre panto.

More than 14,000 tickets have already been snapped up for Aladdin, starring the amazing Robin Windsor from Strictly Coming Dancing and Michael Auger of the top band Collabra.

Now Diamond Buses are offering 20 family, ten single and five pairs of tickets for the performance on Thursday, January 3 in a free-to-enter competition.

Chris Bridges, Diamond operations manager at Redditch, said: “We want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and if this year’s panto is anything like last year’s it’s going to be brilliant.”

Chris had contacted borough councillor Joe Baker (Lab, Greenlands) after the success of last year’s ticket giveaway.

“This is great news for our residents here in Redditch as it gives people on low incomes a chance to enter the competition free of charge to win tickets,” he said.

Tim Mackrill, manager at the Palace, added: “Tickets are selling like hotcakes – numbers are through the roof and a lot of shows are selling out already.”

The competition will run from December 10-13 and is open to all and free to enter.

Leaflets to enter are available on the buses, at Redditch bus station or on the Diamond Buses website at www.diamond

buses.com/news.

“Coun Bill Hartnett (Lab, Church Hill) said: “I think it’s a great idea. We did it last year and it was a huge success and I am sure this year will be no different as this is a great initiative.”
