Keep your distance - social distancing now the new way to be together

Correspondent 20th Mar, 2020

IS it sociable to do social distancing?

Worcestershire County Council has just issued the following guidelines on social distancing for people to follow:

Everybody should be taking part in social distancing……even if you don’t have underlying medical conditions or symptoms of coronavirus.

Social distancing means avoiding contact with other people..In general, this means remaining two metres away from anyone else at all times.

Social distancing is about adjusting your behaviour. For instance, don’t go to pubs or restaurants, and work from home if you can.

Social distancing doesn’t mean you need to lock yourself away.

And with the weather set to be fine over the weekend it’s an opportunity to get outdoors and practice.

The great Richard Thompson even wrote a song about it – albeit in happier times: here
