KICKBOXER Ellie Pardy packs such a punch she’s been selected to represent Team GB at the European Championships in Turkey next month.
The 17-year-old Arrow Vale High School student is already on a high after representing her country in Bangkok just before Christmas.
Proud mum Emma Clarke said: “She is has been doing it since she was six and is so dedicated.
“The main reason for starting it was for her confidence and now she teaches it too.”
Not only that but when she got the call up for Bangkok she flew out there on her own,
Her dedication extends to training at a specialist gym in Sutton Coldfield, catching the cross city line to get there in the evenings.
And Ellie’s not the only one in the family who’s showing prowess on the sporting front.
Her brother Blake Clarke, aged 10, recently attended a training camp at British Gymnastics training base in Lilleshall National Sports Centre.
The European Championships are in Istanbul and Ellie’s bouts will be in the 15-17 years up to 54kg category.
“We’ll be routing for her and I know her sponsors, Transmec, Lexon, Alliance in Partnership and RB Gym + Sport will be too,” said Emma.
