A £50 voucher will bring cheer to members of Redditch Association of the Blind when their regular lunches re-start thanks to the generosity of local supermarket Sainsbury’s.
The donation was presented to the association’s chair Bill Payne by one of the store’s managers Andy Newbound.
“We’re very pleased to be supported by local businesses particularly as supermarket collections are on hold and the charity relies on collecting tins around the town and the Redditch Lottery,” said Bill.
“When our vital luncheon club resumes for visually impaired members this voucher will provide some treats to those who are socially isolated.
“We look forward to the reopening of the fortnightly get togethers at Webheath Village Hall and we are indebted to Sainsbury’s.”
