TWO kind-hearted Redditch girls have raised over £60 in a charity cake bake.
Lucy Bastock, aged nine, and Rosie-Mae Merry, seven, decided they would like to raise some money for charity so put their heads together and decided on a street charity cake sale.
The girls worked really hard making posters, advertising the cake sale and then baking the cakes: Lemon, apple, coffee, Victoria sponge, ginger bread, ice cream cakes and cornflake cakes.
The street cake sale took place on Sunday (October 16) and the girls raised a magnificent £61.46 with generous donations from neighbours.
All proceeds will go to the Catholic internationl development charity CAFOD.
