THE KINGFISHER Shopping Centre has announced its three charity partners as part of their new campaign.

As part of their new fund-raising project they have named Primrose hospice, Alzeimer’s Society and Your Ideas as their chosen charities for the next 18 months

Kingfisher chiefs have set a £40,000 target for the causes and are planning several events to hit their goal.

General manager, Ken Williams, said: “We are privileged to be working alongside these extremely worthy causes. We are absolutely determined to get to our fundraising target and raise vital funds to help change and improve people’s lives in Redditch.’

Kate Kelly, corporate fundraiser for Primrose said she was delighted the relationship between the hospice and the centre will continue to grow.

“We are always looking at ways in which we can work with local businesses to support the work of the hospice, but also how we can work with them to maximise public perception and employee motivation by demonstrating that their company is supporting a local charity and taking its social responsibility seriously.”

Pauline Marshall, Project Manager at Your Ideas said: “Your Ideas feel very privileged to have been one of the chosen charities for this initiative. We are very grateful to Kingfisher Cares for their support, which will benefit many local children & young people.”

Jan Little, Group Coordinator at Alzheimer’s Society said: “This is great news for the Redditch community. Inspiring the way forward for other communities to follow.

“We hope Kingfisher Cares will help us to continue to raise vital awareness for people living with dementia as we strive to establish a Dementia inclusive community.”
