Kingfisher Girls FC looking good for a return to football action

Redditch Editorial 9th May, 2021   0

THE girls of Kingfisher FC Under-13s are all ready for kick off thanks to being kitted out by Redditch tyre and car service firm HiQ Autos.

Customer Becky Ryan is secretary of the club and when the girls got back into training she realised they needed some new football tops.

“We’re the only all girls football club in Redditch and a family club and have been needed more than ever by our girls during the pandemic,” said Becky. “Sport is a great help to mental health and the girls have relied heavily on the team, even in lockdown coaches were running virtual sessions and girls were training in their gardens.

“We approached Brad at HiQ Autos and without hesitation he agreed to sponsor us, the kit was ordered the next day!”

“All businesses have suffered so this act of kindness was made even more special, we can’t thank him and his team enough.”

Andrew ‘Brad’ Bradshaw, franchise holder at the Hewell Road car service business said: “For us it was a bit of everything – a bit of advertising, a bit of community work, and also saying thank you to our loyal customers.”

Women’s/Girls football is growing rapidly – anyone interested in joining Kingfisher FC can contact them through Facebook.
