AFTER a chance meeting with the Aston Villa Foundation, Heaphy’s Menswear will be joining the club’s late festive push towards getting as many Christmas presents as possible for children in need.
Today (December 17), Heaphy’s Kingfisher Centre store will be acting as a base for the Aston Villa Foundation’s festive drive, with people asked to pop in and donate Christmas books or toys.
The presents will then be wrapped and collected after which the Villa Foundation will distribute them to help youngsters who might otherwise go without a present this year.
Managing Director Dean Corrigan attended a networking event at Villa Park and met foundation members and after discussing the toy drive with him, he decided to help out.
All gifts donated to the cause must be new and unused.
The Aston Villa Foundation’s toy drive has already supported hundreds of local people this year through fund-raising and donations.
Heaphy’s will be open to receive donations between 9.30am and 5.30pm on Saturday.
