THE Vaynor First School attended a Redditch First School’s Kwik Cricket competition at the local cricket club.
Ten Year 4 children were chosen to represent the school and competed against three other teams for the annual trophy.
Having won their opening match, The Vaynor went straight into the final against Batchley First School.
The match was closely fought and nobody knew the result until it was announced that The Vaynor First School were victorious by the narrowest of margins… two runs.
The result means they now go on to represent Redditch at the Summer Worcestershire School Games next month, where they will compete against the other district winners, to see who is crowned the county champion.
