Left the keys in the ignition and the next moment the car was gone

POLICE say a red Citroen C3 left with the keys in on the Evesham Road in Cookhill, Alcester has been stolen from the driveway of a house.

The five door hatchback, with a registration number ending in RUU, was taken at around 9am this morning, Tuesday, March 31.

If spotted, call Police on 101.

Police say most vehicle crime is opportunistic and often happens because:




• doors or windows are left unlocked

• keys are left in the ignition


• personal belongings like handbags or laptops are left on display

• Tools and equipment are left in work vans

• A sat nav and holder are left in vehicle

• They’re parked in a poorly lit areas

• They’re left unlocked with engines running to defrost during winter
