Library re-opens with new 'click and collect' service for customers

Redditch Editorial 11th Aug, 2020   0

ALCESTER Library is re-opening to customers for the first time since lockdown from Thursday, August 13.

The popular library has revised opening hours which are 10am to 3pm on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and 10am to 1pm on Saturdays (closed Tuesdays and Sundays).

The library is the seventh in Warwickshire to re-open as part of a phased operation by the county council.

To ensure customer safety, the number of people allowed inside will be limited, and face coverings will be compulsory for customers, except for those who are exempt.

There will also be a new layout to enable social distancing and customers’ contact details will also be recorded for NHS Test and Trace.

The library will also be offering the new ‘click and collect’ service, which enables customers to pre-order titles, either via the libraries online catalogue at https://library.warwickshire.gov.uk, by phoning 0300 555 8171, or by emailing [email protected].

The library catalogue is available at https://library.warwickshire.gov.uk, where residents can also join the library or reset their PIN.
