THE lifesaving efforts of two blood donors from Redditch and one from Alcester, who have collectively made 307 donations, were honoured with commemorative medals at the ceremony in Droitwich.
Together the trio have between them saved more than 900 lives.
Trevor Holder, aged 67 from Redditch has been donating blood for 47 years and realised the importance of giving blood even more 22 years ago, when his eldest son needed over 30 units of blood during an emergency operation.
“We will always be thankful for the blood he received. Giving blood can make a huge difference to someone’s life,” he said.
