THE ever popular Green Fair and Lions Fun Day is back for the first time in over two years at Arrow Valley Park.
Redditch Borough Council’s annual Green Fair, in partnership with Redditch Lions, returns on Sunday, September 5 and promises to feature free, family-friendly stalls, entertainment and displays for everyone.
Throughout the day, there will be a range of traditional funfair activities including circus skills with Juggling Jim and a Punch and Judy show.
West Mercia Police will be on hand with demonstrations and free bike marking, alongside the 37th Signal Regiment who will be bringing their information stand, radios, and fun games for children.
There will also be a display of classic and new cars – including electric ones – Royal Enfield motorcycles, live music from ‘Split Second’, a ukulele band plus loads of other entertainment and stalls.
Visitors interested in being greener and reducing their environmental impact can also get information from YES Energy Services and Severn Waste and Recycling who will both be there.
The event runs from 11am to 4pm at Arrow Valley Countryside Park with free parking.
“It’s been a long time since our last event, but we are proud to be working with the council again to bring some fun and entertainment to our local community,” said Lions president Mike andrews.
“It promises to be an excellent family day out for all ages with lots to do and see. We can’t wait to see you there.”
The borough’s portfolio holder for leisure services, Councillor Mike Rouse, added: “We are still finding our feet as a council in the events space and it’s clear there are many challenges ahead in general, but I’m delighted we are working with the Lions to get this one right and provide a safe and welcoming event for everyone.”
