Local artist exhibiting work at Bella Barber to raise money for poppy appeal

A REDDITCH based artist and veteran is holding his second solo exhibition at Bella Barber on the Evesham Road, with proceeds going to The Royal British legion.

Popular artist Kevin Wills from Oakenshaw has made quite a stir in the past with his portraits of Captain Sir Thomas Moore and several of the England football team.

The owner of Bella Barber, Haider Alsohaini worked together with Kevin on a solo art exhibition back in 2018.

Kevin said: “I got to know him through visiting his barbers to get my haircut and he has became one of the best barbers in the midlands if not the UK, the shop has a very desirable atmosphere where you can really relax and forget about every day life with a good old chat plus get a stylish haircut along with a beard trim!

“I suggested that it would be an ideal place to showcase arts of Redditch and I really wanted the public to see my latest portraits so this is how we partnered up again to host my second solo art exhibition.”

Kevin’s latest artwork in honour of remembrance day was on the cover for Pathfinder international magazine which will be available during the exhibition and the proceeds of that piece are being donated to the royal British legion and their poppy appeal.

The exhibition will be taking place on Saturday 20th November from 7pm at Bella Barber.
