LOCAL ELECTIONS 2023 - Redditch Borough Council candidates and wards

REDDITCH residents are heading off to the polls tomorrow to decide who makes the tough decisions on the borough council.

Voters are being asked to have a say on who will represent their area on the local authority.

People attending will be required to show photo ID before casting their vote under the Elections Act.

Accepted forms of ID include a UK, European Economic Area (EEA) or Commonwealth passport; a UK, EEA or Commonwealth drivers’ licence; and some concessionary travel passes, such as an older person’s bus pass.

Polling stations across the borough are open until 10pm.

The full list of candidates for each ward in Redditch are as follows:




Abbey Ward – Margot Bish (Green), Michael Chalk, (Conservative), Monica Stringfellow (Labour) Patrick Taylor (Liberal Democrat).

Astwood Bank and Feckenham – Brandon Clayton (Conservative), Howard Gee (Liberal Democrats), Wanda King (Labour), Christopher Theobald (Green).


Batchley and Brockhill – Roy Mangara (Liberal Democrats), Kerrie Miles (Labour), Lea Room (Green), Helen Sanders (Conservative).

Church Hill – James Fardoe (Labour), Gabby Hemming (Green), Ann Isherwood (Conservative), Mark Tomes (Liberal Democrat).

Crabbs Cross – Claire Davies (Green) , Ann Gee (Liberal Democrat), Jim Heaney (Labour), Chris Holz (Conservative).

Greenlands – Juma Begum (Labour), Roger Bennett (Conservative), Steve Sergent (Green), Dian Thomas (Liberal Democrat).

A spokesperson from Redditch Borough Council has said: “The Council is aware of these and is dealing with them as part of the process.”
