THE local NHS Trust which is Redditch’s and the county’s main provider of mental health and community services, has been recognised for their work helping young people get their first foot on the career ladder.
Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust, have been shortlisted at the regional stage of the National Apprenticeship Awards 2017 in the Large Apprenticeship Employer of the Year category.
The awards showcase outstanding employers and apprentices who have made a significant contribution to their workplaces and highlights the difference apprenticeships have made in an organisation.
Liz Faulkner, workforce transformation manager at the Trust said: “We are thrilled to be shortlisted for a National Apprenticeship Award, one of the most prestigious awards we can achieve.
“It is recognition of the hard work put in by our team members, managers and staff to really embrace and celebrate apprenticeships across our Trust.
“We have lots of plans in the next 12 months to build on this success and are excited about the diverse opportunities this will provide our current team members and people in our local community looking to start their career with us.”
Further shortlisting for the regional finalists will be announced end of August.
