LAST Thursday (July 21) Holyoakes Field First School closed its doors for the last time before relocating to a brand-new school in Brockhill in September.
Local Redditch children have been attending school at this site for over a hundred years.
In 1913, the current school comprised of three separate schools each with its own headteacher.
Headteacher Tasnim Koser said: “Whilst the staff and I feel incredibly privileged to have been given this opportunity to relocate to a fantastic new purpose-built school; there is also a great deal of sadness as we close the doors at Bridge Street for the very last time.
“We are determined to build on the school’s rich history and reputation as we enter this new exciting phase of the school’s journey.”
