THE BBC were at Forge Mill Needle Museum last Wednesday, April 6 to film an episode of their brand new series: The Travelling Auctioneers.
Hosts restoration maestro Will Kirk and auction expert Christina Travanion in were Redditch on the day for the filming.
Sifting through one family home at a time, Will and Christina will find the items that will go best at a bespoke auction.
Christina will call on her auctioneer expertise, whilst Will uses his skills to bring new life to neglected treasures – ready for a thrilling on-site auction.
The filming featured local mother and daughter Pattie and Tricia Reeves who were looking to raise money from artefacts in the auction to go on holiday.
Forge Mill Needles Museum is one of the gems of Redditch’s past and is the gateway to the historic ruins of Bordesley Abbey.
It boasts a gift shop, cafe and lovely grounds and is open Tuesday to Sunday, 10am to 3pm.
