KIND-HEARTED residents have raised £1,700 for Prostate Cancer UK after dancing the night away at Lodge Park Social Club.
The venue was home to a 80s themed disco on Saturday (February 20) which saw guests party hard to the sound of Adie Hicks – all in the name of charity.
The club’s assistant steward, Emma Bonner, made her own donation to Macmillan Nurses – donating £550 from her efforts ‘Going Sober for October’.
Martin Crowther, chairman at Lodge Park Social Club, extended his thanks to everyone who attended the event and expressed his gratitude to Halfords, Swallow Brewery, Studley Florist, Mulberry Catering and the entertainment committee for their help.
The club will host a charity horseracing night in aid of Birmingham Children’s Hospital on March 25, all are welcome to attend.
