Looking for a home: Dogs Trust plea for long term stayers Vinnie and Bruno

Redditch Editorial 25th Oct, 2016   0

STAFF at the local Dogs Trust centre are making a special appeal for two of their longest serving canine residents, Bruno and Vinnie, who collectively have spent more than 500 days waiting to find their special someone.
The pawesome pair, who collectively have been at the rehoming centre for the equivalent of 10 years in dog years, have been overlooked by more than 6,600 potential new owners and have had to sit back and watch as almost 700 dogs have being rehomed since they have been at the centre.
Three-year-old crossbreed, Bruno, originally came into Dogs Trust Evesham in March and Vinnie is a three-year-old Rottweiler Cross who has been at the rehoming centre since January. The average stay for a dog at Dogs Trust dog is 39 days, but for these two, 39 days is long gone.
Chris Slight, Dogs Trust Evesham rehoming centre manager, said: “Bruno is a fantastic boy who loves human company and really adores having a fuss and cuddle. He currently finds it very hard to be around other dogs and is looking for a family who can help to socialise him and help him settle in his new home. He is super clever and loves to learn new things. Given time he will make a very fun and entertaining companion.
“Vinnie is a really great dog that is feeling rather confused at the moment. He does enjoy human company, but becomes quite anxious so he’ll need a calm home, without children or dogs to help him feel more secure.
“We’re routing for them both.”
If you could offer Bruno or Vinnie a home, call Dogs Trust Evesham on 0300 3030292.
