CANNY Alcester residents have been making tracks for Maggie Payne’s house to snap up the tasty baking she’s been doing in aid of Alcester in Bloom.
Maggie, long time supporter of the cause started doing a garage cake sale for Bloom back in January and this is her third, and last – at least for a while as she helps get the town ready for all the hanging baskets.
She said: “It took off so well the first time I thought I’d do it again. I leave an honesty box out because of the distancing, and it seems to work really well.”
She’s stopped taking orders but says there’s plenty of good baking still for sale from her garage at 3 Sherwell Drive, Alcester or contact her via Facebook.
