GET READY to be delighted when the curtain goes up on ‘Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical Jr’ in the more than capable hands of the revolting children of Redditch’s very own Indigo Arts.
After two pandemic-filled years the team at Indigo Arts are bringing their pop-up theatre back to the Kingfisher Shopping Centre for what is sure to be a cracking show.
Performed by Young Indigo, ‘Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical Jr’ will be on Evesham Walk, where passing shoppers may have already been delighted by their rehearsals over the weekend.
Projects director Cathy Moss said: “Indigo has kept going with some great online performances, and been able to get some outdoor gigs up and running over the pandemic.
“We even managed to get a mini-celebration together for our 20th birthday last year, thanks to Challenge Zone, but it is absolutely amazing to actually return to our pop-up venues with a full production, and what a great musical to kick off with!
“Matilda Jr was just made for Young Indigo, they are absolutely loving it, and we know the audience will too.”
Indigo’s pop-up venues promise a great atmosphere plus a bar area for refreshments, in addition to a great night’s entertainment.
The show runs for two evenings on Saturday and Sunday, April 2-3 with tickets at £9, and £7 for children, available from the events page at www.indigoarts.org.uk.
And after the Easter break Indigo will be looking to take on new some recruits.
